The building rests beside Llandaff Cathedral and it is consciously subservient in terms of its scale. The proportions of the building itself have been determined by idealised floor - ceiling heights to comfortably accommodate certain activities, as well as topographical levels, and aesthetics. In order to truly create the appearance that two geometries are sliding across one another, slab, roof, and ceiling levels have been carefully positioned. The building’s form is intended to seamlessly embrace a courtyard within the grassy and historic landscape.
